  I would really think hard before you decide to travel here. The staff are all lovely and super helpful but this place is such a disaster. The staffing rations are so unsafe, at any moment you could lose your license. In my 10 weeks here I have only had a safe assignment once or twice. 3 vented patients in the icu without a tech per nurse is the normal. It seems as though they are more focused on saving money than promoting a safe environment for patients and staff. There is no 24 hour icu physician coverage and the unit is very much ran by nurse practitioners. This assignment has broken my heart and its very sad what’s going on here.

  I work on their med surge unit as a traveler and I will say this is one of the worst units in the hospital. A new grad nurse literally left after 2 weeks off of orientation because of unit bullying and the CNO had to come on our unit to speak with us about it. The aides on nights are not helpful at all they’re all on their phones and are bullying the nurses. You ask them to do anything and they just start arguing with u instead of helping out. The aides don’t even do blood sugars at this hospital. And don’t even get me started on the manager she always blames our units low scores on us instead of doing better staffing for better ratios. And they bring the worst patients to our unit. And they’ve been canceling us due to low census a lot. Do not come here for work. I’ve taken up to 8 patients before.
